Senior Year Timeline
Fall:
Common Application will be available August 1st.
Make a timeline with all deadlines. Stay on task. Any early decision or early action applications will need to be completed and submitted before deadline.
Register for AP Exams.
Write common app essay during summer and all supplemental essays in the fall months.
Take SAT or ACT for the last time, no later than October of your senior year. Arrange for test scores to be sent to the colleges on your list.
Meet with school counselor to review your college list and connect your common app to the system your high school uses, ie. Naviance or Scoir.
Apply for Financial Aid (fafsa.ed.gov) and/or CSS Profile (collegeboard.org) by deadlines and make sure you complete any state or supplemental financial aid forms.
Make sure all transcripts, scores, letters are completed and sent on time.
Interview with admissions offices, if needed.
Upload art portfolio, video or another materials.
Winter:
Maintain strong grades. All schools ask for first semester transcript.
Apply for local scholarships
Keep social media clean!
Submit ED2, and/or Regular round admission applications.
Attend Accepted Student Days to help you make the final decision which school to attend.
Spring:
May 1, deadline to deposit.
Take AP tests. Results are available in July. Have your results sent to the admissions office that you are enrolled in.
Final transcript is sent after you graduate to the school you commit. Notify your college of private scholarships or grants.
